Group Financial Controller

PE-Backed Healthcare Business

Location: Surrey (Hybrid)
Contract: Permanent
Job Reference: 32756

Company

Stanton House is partnering with a Private Equity-backed healthcare services platform to appoint a Group Financial Controller.

The business operates in a large and growing segment of the healthcare market, delivering community-based services through a network of clinics and technology-enabled care pathways. Having secured institutional backing and established a strong operating platform, the company is now entering a significant period of growth through both organic expansion and acquisitions.

This is an opportunity to join a business where finance sits at the centre of the value creation plan. The successful candidate will play a key role in building the infrastructure, controls and reporting capability required to support rapid scale.

Role

Reporting to the CFO, the Group Financial Controller will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and build the financial infrastructure required to support a high-growth, PE-backed business.

This is a broad role covering financial control, management reporting, cash flow management, finance operations, systems development and business partnering. The business is scaling rapidly through new locations, new service lines and acquisition activity, creating a varied and commercially important remit.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, comfortable operating in a build environment and motivated by the opportunity to create scalable processes, strengthen controls and support long-term growth. The role offers exposure to systems implementation, acquisition integration, investor reporting and finance team development, providing an excellent platform for future progression.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
