Financial Controller | PE-Backed Data Centre Platform
Camino Search is partnered with a fast-growing, private equity-backed data centre business to appoint a Group Financial Controller. With significant capacity under development and continued investment from its sponsor, the business is building a finance function that can keep pace with an ambitious build-out programme.
The role
- Lead monthly, quarterly and year-end close across the group, including SPVs and development entities
- Own accounting for construction and development capex, including capitalisation policy, asset registers and depreciation
- Manage revenue recognition across colocation and wholesale contracts, including power pass-through and contract modifications
- Oversee lender and covenant reporting, working closely with the CFO on debt facilities and funding draws
- Deliver statutory accounts and manage the external audit process
- Strengthen controls, systems and processes as the business scales, and lead and develop a small team

About you
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, with Financial Controller or senior Group Reporting experience
- Background in a capital-intensive environment: data centres, infrastructure, telecoms, energy or real estate
- Strong technical grounding in IFRS, particularly fixed assets, leases (IFRS 16) and revenue recognition
- Experience of PE-backed or lender-funded businesses and the reporting cadence that comes with them
- Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable building process in a growing business
