About the Role

We’re working with a well-established, growing service-sector group headquartered in Manchester, made up of several trading entities. The group has grown steadily, and its finance function now needs a Group Financial Controller to bring structure, control and clear commercial insight across the business. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you’ll lead the group finance team.

You’ll own the whole financial control environment across the group in a hands-on role. You’ll run month-end, consolidation and statutory reporting, and you’ll also have a real voice in how the group plans and performs. It suits someone who’s as comfortable rolling their sleeves up as they are presenting to the leadership team.

What You’ll Get

  • A salary of £85,000 – £100,000, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, with 2 days a week in the Manchester office and the rest from home
  • Annual discretionary bonus
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Private healthcare
  • Parking included for office days
  • A modern city-centre office, a collaborative and supportive culture, and a business that invests in its people

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
