Group Financial Controller

London - Real Estate

We are exclusively partnering with a leading international real estate and infrastructure business to appoint a Group Financial Controller on fixed term contract basis. Operating across multiple jurisdictions and managing a substantial portfolio of assets, the business has built an outstanding reputation within its sector and continues to invest heavily in growth, operational excellence and long-term value creation.

This is a highly visible leadership role, offering direct exposure to senior executives and the opportunity to play a key role in supporting a complex, international organisation.

The role & responsibilities

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will lead the Group Finance function and take ownership of financial control, reporting, audit and governance across a complex international business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the BAU finance function and developing a high performing finance team
  • Owning Group reporting, consolidations, statutory reporting and the month-end and year-end close process
  • Managing the annual external audit and acting as the key contact for auditors and senior stakeholders
  • Providing technical accounting expertise and maintaining a robust control and governance framework
  • Overseeing treasury, cash flow, debt and working capital reporting
  • Partnering with senior leadership to provide commercial insight and support key business decisions
  • Supporting acquisitions, integrations, restructurings and other strategic finance projects

What's required

We're keen to speak with qualified accountants (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) who can demonstrate:

  • Significant Group Financial Controller, Deputy Group Financial Controller or senior financial control experience
  • Strong IFRS, group consolidation and statutory reporting expertise
  • Experience operating within large, complex, multi-entity and multi-currency environments
  • Ownership of external audit, governance and financial control frameworks
  • Previous exposure to real estate, infrastructure or other asset-intensive businesses is essential
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate confidently alongside senior leadership teams
  • A hands-on approach combined with commercial awareness and leadership capability
