Group Financial Controller
Location: Ely
Salary: Circa £100,000 + Bonus + Wider Package including Hybrid working
About the Role
Time to put your stamp on a growing group finance function.
You’ve built strong financial controls, led capable teams and know what good looks like when it comes to cash, reporting and commercial discipline. Now you’re looking for the scope to shape a function, influence at group level and gain broader exposure that moves you closer to a future CFO role.

We are working with a successful, investor-backed food group in the search for a Group Financial Controller who can strengthen its financial foundations while helping to prepare the business for its next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strengthen the financial foundations of a successful food group.
- Prepare the business for its next stage of growth.
- Simplify processes and improve reporting.
- Build a more effective central finance team.
- Work closely with an experienced CFO to develop and expand your remit.
- Bring greater visibility to short-term liquidity and embed robust cash-flow forecasting.
- Improve the pace, accuracy, and usefulness of group reporting.
- Influence how finance operates in the future through a systems transformation journey.

What You’ll Bring
- Be a qualified chartered accountant with significant Financial Controller-level experience.
- Be experienced leading and developing finance teams.
- Bring experience from food manufacturing, FMCG, or another relevant fast-paced environment.
- Have a strong track record across cash management, financial reporting, forecasting, and control.
- Demonstrate strong financial reporting, systems, and numerical capability.
