Group Financial Controller | Tech | £120,000 to £150,000 | Central London – Hybrid

Goodman Masson is partnering with a FTSE 250-listed, global technology business to recruit a Group Financial Controller. This is a rare opportunity for an ACA-qualified finance leader with substantial group and controllership experience to take on a high-impact role at the heart of a scaling, publicly-listed organisation.

You will lead the global Group Reporting function, overseeing finance operations, internal controls, compliance, audit coordination, and tax. The role manages complex multi-currency consolidations under IFRS and drives reporting excellence across the business, including external reporting obligations that come with a listed environment. With broad exposure to senior leadership, the Board and investors, this position plays a crucial role in shaping financial insight, influencing strategic decisions, and leading transformation across Group Finance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
