Group Financial Controller
International Consumer Business | Founder Led | Exceptional Growth
Central London | Hybrid Working
Up to £120,000 + Bonus up to 45% + Future EMI Options
We Do Group are exclusively partnering with an exceptional international consumer business that has grown from an idea into a highly profitable, £100m plus revenue group in only a few years.
The business has customers around the world, a market leading product and ambitious plans to more than double in size over the next three years.
They are now hiring a Group Financial Controller to build the financial infrastructure, systems and team required for that next stage of growth.
Finance has historically been supported by outsourced providers. Your first challenge will be taking control of those relationships, raising the quality of reporting and deciding what should move in house.
From there, you will have the freedom to build.
You will design the future Finance structure, recruit the team and create the controls, processes and reporting needed by a significantly larger international business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The role will include:
- Bringing Finance in house and building the function from the ground up
- Group reporting and consolidation across multiple international entities
- Month end, statutory accounts and audit ownership
- Global tax compliance, including US sales tax, European VAT and transfer pricing
- Cash flow, treasury and multi currency management
- Building a scalable financial control environment
- Leading the Finance workstream for a major ERP implementation
- Using systems, automation and AI to remove unnecessary manual work
- Improving reporting across products, countries, customers and commercial channels
- Preparing the Finance function for continued growth and a potential future transaction
This needs someone technically excellent, but commercially sensible.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Someone who understands the importance of control, compliance and accuracy without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
You might already be operating as a Group Financial Controller, or you could be stepping into your first Controller position after building strong experience across reporting, audit, controls, tax and systems.
Experience within ecommerce, consumer products, retail or an inventory led business would be valuable, but mindset is just as important.
They want someone ambitious, curious and excited by the opportunity to create rather than maintain.
There is also a genuine succession path. As the business grows, this person will have the opportunity to take on broader leadership responsibility and potentially step into the Finance Director role.
This is a rare opportunity to build the Finance function behind a highly profitable international business as it scales towards its next major milestone.
