Group Financial Controller

High-Growth Consumer Business | Build the Finance Function | International Expansion

London | Hybrid Working

£110,000 to £130,000 + Significant Bonus + Equity

About the Role

Some Financial Controller roles are about inheriting a well-established finance function. This one is about building one.

You would be joining a seriously exciting, highly profitable international consumer business that has already grown beyond £100m of revenue and has ambitious plans to significantly increase in size over the next 18–24 months.

The business is growing quickly across new markets, manufacturing, logistics, and international operations. The opportunity now is to build the finance infrastructure capable of keeping pace with that growth.

Reporting directly into senior finance leadership, you will have genuine ownership over what the future finance function looks like. Bringing activity in-house, building the team, strengthening controls, improving reporting, implementing new systems, and creating a scalable finance operation will all form part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own Group financial control, reporting, consolidation, and month-end across a growing international business
  • Help build the finance function, bringing key activities in-house and creating the right structure to support continued growth
  • Build, lead, and develop the finance team as the business continues to scale
  • Take ownership of statutory reporting, year-end, audit, governance, and financial controls
  • Manage reporting and accounting requirements across multiple international entities, including the UK and US
  • Oversee VAT, sales tax, and wider compliance requirements alongside external advisors
  • Improve the quality, accuracy, and speed of financial reporting and management information
  • Support international expansion, new entities, and the development of the wider Group structure
  • Play a key role in implementing a new ERP and improving the wider finance systems environment
  • Drive automation, AI, and process improvement to reduce manual activity and create a scalable finance function
  • Help prepare the business for future investment, transactions, and due diligence
  • Partner closely with senior leadership, providing financial insight and supporting wider commercial and strategic decisions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
