Stanton House is partnering with a private equity-backed healthcare organisation to appoint a senior finance leader into a key group-level position.
The business operates across multiple locations and is investing in its finance function, systems, and controls to support continued growth. This opportunity offers exposure to strategic decision-making, acquisition activity, financial transformation, and the development of a high-performing finance function.
Role
Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the day-to-day finance function, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and strong governance across the group.
This is a broad leadership role combining financial stewardship, operational oversight, and business partnership. You will support growth initiatives, financing activities, acquisitions, and the ongoing development of finance systems, processes, and controls.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across the group.
- Manage the annual statutory audit process, including group consolidation and technical accounting matters.
- Oversee statutory accounts preparation and external auditor relationships.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, treasury activities, and banking relationships.
- Support debt facilities, funding arrangements, and lender reporting requirements.
- Oversee accounts receivable, credit control, supplier payments, and accounts payable processes.
- Support acquisition activity, including due diligence, acquisition accounting, and integration.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives, process improvements, and systems optimisation.
- Lead, coach, and develop members of the finance team.
- Partner with senior leadership, investors, lenders, auditors, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements
Essential
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Experience operating in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
- Proven experience managing statutory audits and external stakeholder relationships.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance, governance, and risk management.
- Experience managing treasury, cash flow, and working capital.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP systems experience.
- Track record of improving finance processes, controls, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leading and developing finance teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Desired
- Experience within a private equity-backed or high-growth business.
- Exposure to acquisition accounting, financial due diligence, and post-acquisition integration.
- Experience within a multi-site or multi-entity organisation.
- Involvement in finance systems implementations, automation, or AI-enabled process improvement.
- Degree educated in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
