Package: £40-£50,000

Contract: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full time, 37.5 hours per week - 2 days per week in office
Alongside your salary you'll receive:

Job Introduction
We're looking for a talented and technically strong Group Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, supporting strategic decision-making, and helping drive continuous improvement across our organisation.
Working closely with the Head of Group Financial Reporting and the Group Finance & Regulatory Reporting Manager, you'll take ownership of core accounting activities, contribute to statutory and regulatory reporting, and provide technical accounting expertise across the business.

As our new Group Financial Reporting Accountant, you will also:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and insightful financial analysis.
- Support month-end close activities, including journal preparation and general ledger review.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
- Maintain and manage the Group's fixed asset registers, including additions, disposals and depreciation.
- Support statutory accounts preparation and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles.
- Research and document technical accounting matters and accounting treatments.
- Assist with external audits and annual financial statement production.
- Support budgeting activities and wider finance projects.
- Drive process improvements, stronger controls and reporting efficiencies across the Finance function.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for:
- ACA or ACCA qualified with proven post-qualification experience in a financial reporting or financial accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements
- Experience working within a regulated or risk-based environment, such as insurance or financial services.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial information effectively.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
