Group Food Supplier Assurance Lead

Bristol (Hybrid - 2 days home)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Excellent Benefits

Yolk Recruitment are supporting a leading Food Manufacturer with the recruitment of a Group Food Supplier Assurance Lead to join their growing group function.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established food manufacturing business in a newly created group-level role where you'll work across multiple UK sites, helping to shape supplier standards, improve supply chain performance and support the business' sustainability commitments.

Working closely with Procurement, Technical and Sustainability teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring suppliers meet the highest standards of food safety, quality and ethical compliance, whilst driving continuous improvement across the wider supply chain.

This is what you'll be doing

As Group Food Supplier Assurance Lead, you'll support supplier performance and compliance across the group, working collaboratively with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and continuously improving the group supplier assurance programme
  • Assessing supplier performance across food safety, quality, sustainability and ethical compliance
  • Reviewing supplier audits, HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, allergen management and traceability documentation
  • Working alongside Procurement to onboard and approve new suppliers
  • Supporting supplier improvement plans and driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining approved supplier records and ensuring all documentation remains compliant
  • Producing reports and analysing supplier performance data for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives and helping the business meet its wider environmental commitments
  • Carrying out supplier and internal audits where required
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders across multiple UK locations

The experience you'll bring

  • Previous experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Supplier Assurance or Technical Compliance
  • Experience working within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector
  • Strong knowledge of supplier assurance, food safety and quality management systems
  • Understanding of HACCP, VACCP, TACCP and BRC standards
  • Experience analysing supplier performance and managing risk
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for sustainability and continuous improvement
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel occasionally between UK sites in Wales and England
