We're delighted to be partnering with a global natural resources business to find an FP&A Analyst for their London finance team.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who wants more than a desk-bound reporting role; you'll get real exposure to operational sites, Executive Management, and the full group planning cycle, within a business with genuine scale and ambition.
The Role
You'll act as Group FP&A analyst for at least one operating mine plus one or more development or group entities, while also feeding into group-wide budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. Expect close working relationships with site finance teams, regular face time with senior and Executive leadership, and a role that moves between the operational and the strategic — rare breadth for an analyst-level position. Occasional international travel (roughly twice a year, or project-based) adds a further dimension.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
