Group FP&A Director

Location: UK / Hybrid
Working pattern: Approximately 2 days onsite per week, with travel to other sites as required.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Group FP&A Director to lead the central FP&A and provide high-quality financial insight to senior leadership. The role will focus on transforming management reporting, strengthening planning and forecasting, and developing robust financial models to support strategic and commercial decision-making. You will work closely with the Group CFO, CEO and senior finance team, providing insight into performance, profitability, cash flow and value creation. You will also have experience of strategically and operationally evaluating new market opportunities internationally and have gained this experience in a complex, international, FMCG / manufacturing / similar environment where you have utilised your pricing and modelling experience.

Key Responsibilities

FP&A & Performance

  • Transform Group management reporting to deliver clear, actionable insight.
  • Develop robust, driver-based analysis of financial and operational performance.
  • Strengthen profitability, pricing, margin and customer/product analytics.
  • Lead forecasting and reforecasting, linking short-term performance to longer-term plans.
  • Develop and maintain integrated five-year financial models and forecasts.
  • Enhance cash-flow forecasting and variance analysis.

Leadership & Transformation

  • Lead, develop and shape the central FP&A processes.
  • Build effective relationships with divisional and wider Finance teams.
  • Drive standardisation, automation and efficiency across FP&A and reporting.
  • Support the development of financial data-room and due diligence capability for external stakeholders.

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience and a strong track record in senior FP&A and commercial finance roles in a product-led or manufacturing business.

You will have:

  • Experience leading FP&A in a complex, multi-site or international organisation.
  • A track record of developing or transforming FP&A and management reporting.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and long-range planning skills.
  • Experience translating complex data into clear commercial insight.
  • Strong senior stakeholder and business partnering capability.
  • Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, perishable goods, supply chain would be advantageous.
  • A hands-on, pragmatic and commercially focused approach, comfortable operating through change and ambiguity.
