Interim Group FP&A Lead
GROUP FP&A CONSOLIDATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE IN A PRIVATE EQUITY BACKED BUSINESS REQUIRED
Location: Central London | Hybrid working
Contract: Interim, 3–6 months
TBC if day rate or FTC. Circa £80k–£90k / £450–£500 per day inside IR35
Start: ASAP, candidates with up to 2 weeks’ notice may be considered

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Interim Group FP&A Lead to join a fast growing, acquisitive business for an initial 3–6 month assignment.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of Group FP&A, with a particular focus on Group consolidation, planning, forecasting, performance reporting and commercial insight.
This is a hands on role requiring someone who can quickly understand a complex Group structure, establish credibility with senior stakeholders and provide clear, decision useful insight to the CFO and leadership team.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the Group budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting and long range planning processes.
- Own Group FP&A consolidation, ensuring consistent reporting, assumptions and KPIs across multiple entities.
- Produce Group MI, KPI reporting, variance analysis and performance commentary for the CFO, Executive team and Board.
- Partner with commercial and operational finance teams to understand business drivers, challenge performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop scenario and sensitivity models to support strategic, investment and acquisition decisions.
- Lead improvements to Group BI, reporting and data capability, reducing manual processes and improving reporting consistency.
- Oversee Data & Modelling priorities and standardise KPI definitions and reporting logic across the Group.
- Support M&A activity, including acquisition modelling, synergy analysis, business cases and integration reporting.

Key requirements
- Qualified accountant, ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Strong Group FP&A and consolidation experience, ideally across multiple entities or business units.
- Proven experience working within a Private Equity backed environment.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and management reporting experience.
- Ability to operate at CFO and Board level and communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills, with Power BI and SQL experience advantageous.
- Hands on, pragmatic approach with the ability to make an immediate impact.
- Available to start ASAP, with candidates able to start within 2 weeks also considered.

This is a high impact interim assignment working directly with the CFO during a period of growth, acquisition and change.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to strengthen Group FP&A, improve consolidation and reporting processes, enhance management insight and support senior leadership with strategic decision making.
