Group FP&A Manager

Birmingham (Hybrid | 1 day per week in London) Circa £100,000 + Benefits

A high-growth, private equity-backed business is seeking a Group FP&A Manager to drive financial planning, performance reporting and strategic decision-making across a rapidly expanding group. This is a highly visible role, working closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to provide commercial insight, support acquisition activity and help shape the future direction of the business. The successful candidate will also lead and develop a small analytics team, helping to build best-in-class reporting and decision-support capability.

The Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will take ownership of Group budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and financial modelling activities, providing clear, actionable insights to support key business decisions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading annual budgets, forecasts and long-range planning
  • Developing financial models, scenario analysis and business cases to support growth initiatives
  • Producing board, executive and investor reporting packs
  • Driving KPI reporting, variance analysis and performance insight across the group
  • Partnering with operational and commercial teams to improve profitability and efficiency
  • Supporting acquisitions, integration projects and synergy tracking
  • Enhancing BI and reporting capability through data-driven decision making
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a small Data & Analytics team
  • Driving consistency in reporting, KPI definitions and management information across the group

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
  • Strong FP&A and commercial finance experience
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams
  • Experience building or enhancing FP&A capability within a growing business
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills
  • Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering capability
  • Advanced Excel skills, with Power BI and SQL experience advantageous
  • Experience within a private equity-backed, acquisitive or high-growth environment desirable
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business
