About the Role
To lead and manage the Group Accounting Services team to deliver best in class service for suppliers and customers. Continuously looking at process improvements within the team and ensuring all team members are trained to the standard required.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the accounting services team to achieve the departmental KPI’S.
- Work with the business units to publish and enhance end to end business KPI’s.
- Implement best practice and procedures within the department and suggest improvements to improve quality of output, speed of processing and enhanced customer service.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable, Banking and Accounts Receivable departments across GB and Ireland.
- Ensure a robust control environment is in place across all processes with related controls documented and reviewed.
- Propose and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency of department and related controls and reporting in conjunction with the process improvement team.
- Ensure robust controls are in place in the purchase to pay cycle.
- Ensure robust controls are in place in the sales to cash cycle.
- Ensure robust controls are in place in the data management and inventory cycles.
- Management of team including agreeing clear objectives with team members, providing coaching and support to team on an ongoing basis.
- Manage the training and development needs of all direct reports and conduct monthly one to one meetings.
- To build effective relationships with all departments within C&C Group to ensure quality customer service.
- Manage the internal and external audit relationship for the ASC.
- Main point of contact for escalations and resolutions of issues with payments and cash collections.
- Coordinate intercompany reconciliation and settlement work.
- Assist management accounting with cash flow forecasting.
- Review and approve payment runs and cash collections.
- Coordinate work on key multi-entity accounts – e.g. AB Inbev.

About you
- Previous experience of managing an accounting services team.
- Qualified Accountant.
- Experience of working in a high pressure environment.
- Experience in developing processes and controls whilst driving operational excellence in processes.
- Experienced team leader.
