Lead Finance and Accounts Across a Growing Multi-Sector Business
Glenshire Group is a proudly Scottish, family-owned business operating across convenience retail, hospitality, property, and franchise restaurants. As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Group Head of Finance & Accounts to lead our finance and accounts function, strengthen financial governance, and provide strategic direction across the Group.
This is a senior leadership role with significant influence on business performance, requiring a finance professional who can operate both strategically and operationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring robust financial control, driving process improvement, delivering high-quality insight, and reporting, and building a finance and accounts function capable of supporting the Group's ambitious growth plans.
The Opportunity
You will take ownership of the entire accounts and finance function across multiple business divisions, providing financial leadership and commercial challenge to the Senior Leadership Team. You will be expected to:
- Lead and develop the Group finance strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth plans.
- Own all financial reporting, management accounts, cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning activities.
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting across multiple business units.
- Establish and maintain a best-in-class control environment, including governance, compliance, reconciliations, and risk management.
- Provide commercial analysis and financial insight to support operational, investment, and strategic decision-making.
- Drive standardisation and improvement of finance and accounts processes, systems, and reporting across the Group.
- Lead relationships with auditors, banks, professional advisers, and key external stakeholders.
- Partner closely with leaders across retail, hotels, property, franchises, and support functions to improve performance and profitability.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team with clear ownership, accountability, and succession capability.

What We're Looking For
This position will suit an experienced Head of Finance, Financial Controller, looking to take ownership of a diverse and growing group operation.
Essential Experience
- Significant senior finance leadership experience within a multi-site, retail, hospitality, consumer, or service-led business.
- Proven track record of leading finance and accounts teams and operating as a trusted adviser to senior executives and business owners.
- Strong expertise in management accounting, financial control, budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management, and statutory reporting.
- Experience driving financial transformation, process improvement, and governance enhancement.
- Commercially astute with the ability to translate financial performance into practical business decisions.
- Experience managing external audits, banking relationships, and compliance obligations.

Qualifications
Essential
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 8+ years senior finance leadership experience
Preferred
- Previous experience within retail, hospitality, franchise, leisure, property, or multi-entity environments.
- Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions, integration projects, or organisational change.
