Job Description
This is a hybrid working role. As Group Head of Ethics & Compliance, you will be responsible for the further development of our Global Ethics and Compliance programs. There will be particular focus on the core areas of anti-bribery and corruption efforts, conflicts of interest issues, and education and training efforts on these and other ethics-related matters.
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, you will be part of our Governance team. You will influence the strategic direction of the business and assist with setting the risk appetite. You will establish the necessary governance, policies, and standards to ensure that risk and compliance matters are managed in a robust and agile manner.
This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of our broader legal function and the chance to make a meaningful difference to compliance practices across the company.
You Will:
- Set the global ethics agenda, overseeing local implementation of global policies, overseeing monitoring, helping to manage compliance committees, ensuring period record-keeping, and dashboards to track success and effectiveness of efforts.
- Continue to develop, improve, and monitor an effective ethics and compliance system across the organisation.
- Drive a culture of ethics and compliance across the business.
- Develop and support a strong team to support current and future business needs.
- Identify, assess, and communicate affiliate risks, including compliance, through maintaining the affiliate risk register and action plan.
- Provide guidance to and partner with business stakeholders on local compliance risk assessments and risk management.
- Lead on anti-corruption prevention and mitigation, procurement compliance, including conflict of interest mitigation, anti-trust compliance, and ethics efforts.
- Develop and implement transactional testing, invoice testing, and vendor work scope to ensure authenticity and propriety.
- Cascade, adopt, and deliver regular compliance training.
- Ensure regular compliance updates to the Group Deputy General Counsel and relevant Committees.
- Ensure audit readiness (e.g., proper record-keeping of meeting minutes, decision points, training records, etc.).
- Interact with regulators and government agencies in relation to the ethics and compliance program.
- Where needed, provide subject matter expertise in support of internal investigations such as fraud, corruption, and code of conduct breaches.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
