About The Role
Based in Moxley, this permanent, full-time post seeks a Group Health & Safety Manager to lead strategy across a Midlands business. The successful candidate will shape safety culture, advise at every level, and ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
Responsibilities include:
- Setting objectives
- Monitoring performance through KPIs
- Driving improvement at multiple sites
- Managing a team

You’ll be responsible for providing leadership, direction and oversight of Health & Safety across all areas of the business, ensuring consistent standards, policies, procedures and safe working practices are implemented and maintained.
Duties
- Lead and develop the Group Health & Safety strategy
- Drive continuous improvement across multiple sites and operations
- Set Health & Safety standards, objectives and KPIs and monitor performance against them
- Manage and develop the Health & Safety team
- Lead investigations, audits, risk assessments and compliance activities
- Partner with senior leadership, operational teams and key stakeholders
- Chair Health & Safety meetings and oversee action plans
- Build effective relationships with Directors, managers and key stakeholders
- Liaise with regulators, consultants and other relevant bodies where required

Key Skills
- Proven experience leading Health & Safety activity, preferably across multiple sites or businesses
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety is essential
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, compliance and audit requirements
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge effectively
- Experience managing and developing teams with a collaborative leadership style
- Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills
- Proven ability to drive improvement and deliver results
- Ability to provide practical, commercially aware Health & Safety advice
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
