Why we want you

Our groups offer friendship and support to people living with Parkinson's, bringing people together and creating a sense of community. Groups can only support the Parkinson’s community in this way because of the time and energy shared by volunteers.

Group Helper is a flexible and varied role. You might help with welcoming people to the group, serving tea and coffee or setting up the room for meetings. If physical activity is your interest, you could help out at activity sessions. You might choose to lend your time to do a fundraising collection or even organise a fundraising event.

The tasks will depend on the group’s plans and needs, so please read this role description alongside the role advertisement for further details. Please talk to the person who told you about this role, any Parkinson’s UK member of staff or message volunteering@parkinsons.org.uk to find out more or ask questions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
