The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our dynamic people team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused professional who enjoys providing expert guidance and support across a broad range of people functions. Working closely with line managers and key stakeholders, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the employee lifecycle and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and timely HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices in line with UK employment law.
  • Support and manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance, fairness and consistency.
  • Lead or support HR-related projects and initiatives, such as engagement, wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, or change management programmes.
  • Own the recruitment and selection processes, including drafting job descriptions, interviewing, and onboarding. Drive a positive employer of choice reputation within the recruitment market.
  • Own the management and continuous improvement of HR systems in line with GDPR.
  • Monitor key HR metrics and produce reports and insights to support workforce planning and decision-making.
  • Deliver HR-related training or briefings to managers and employees when required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for employee queries and escalate complex issues appropriately.

About You

  • Essential - Proven experience in a similar HR role.
  • Essential - Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Essential - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Essential - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Essential - Confident in managing a varied workload and prioritising effectively.
  • Essential - Experience in using HR systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Desirable - CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
  • Desirable – Experience in manufacturing industry.
  • Desirable – Knowledge of Personio.
  • Desirable – Experience managing change initiatives.
