Group HR Business Partner (Senior Employee Relations)
The Opportunity
We're hiring a Group HR Business Partner to act as a trusted adviser on senior Employee Relations matters. This is not a conventional HRBP role. It sits close to the centre of the business, partnering senior leaders and C-Suite peers - including the CFO, COO, Group General Counsel and commercial leadership - on the most sensitive people issues, organisational design and business change.
Employee Relations is the heart of this role. You will be the key voice on senior ER, policy and people risk, bringing the credibility to influence at the highest levels of the organisation and the judgement to challenge constructively when it matters. You'll advise on complex, high-risk and sensitive cases, guide leaders through restructuring and organisational change, and make sure people decisions are commercially sound and legally robust.
Around that ER core, the role offers real breadth: organisational people strategy, HR projects, policy development, reward support and global collaboration. You'll use people data and HR KPIs to identify trends, translate insight into action, and support senior management and Board-level decision-making.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
In a PE-backed business, pace, resilience and judgement matter. This is a standalone role, so you'll be as comfortable handling the day-to-day admin yourself as you are advising the Board - strategic thinking paired with hands-on delivery.
Who This Could Suit
This role could suit someone currently operating as:
- A senior Employee Relations specialist or ER Consultant looking to broaden into a HRBP role - for example, someone leading on restructuring, organisational design and delivery, or HR process improvement
- A HR Business Partner or HR leader who advises and influences at C-Suite level without hesitation
- A broad HR generalist in an operational, commercial or fast-paced environment
We're particularly interested in people who are comfortable operating alongside Finance, Legal, Operations and Commercial leaders, and who can translate people strategy into commercial language that resonates with a CEO, CFO or Board. In short, someone passionate about Employee Relations who also wants broader exposure to people strategy, organisational change and executive stakeholder management.
