Role Description

The Group People Operations Lead is responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of the People Operations service across the Group, ensuring employees and managers receive a responsive, accurate, and consistent HR service.

You will manage and develop the People Operations team, overseeing the shared HR inbox and allocation of work to ensure queries, employee changes, and key People processes are managed effectively and within agreed timescales.

The role will oversee operational HR activity across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and contractual changes through to absence, family leave, and leavers, ensuring processes, systems, and employee records are accurate and compliant.

Working closely with Managers, Recruitment, Payroll, and operational leaders, you will act as a key point of escalation for more complex People Operations queries and ensure issues are resolved effectively. You will also use People data, service metrics, and recurring queries to identify opportunities to improve processes, increase automation, and strengthen the overall employee and manager experience across the Group.

Duties and Responsibilities

This is a hands-on leadership role. While you will oversee the People Operations service and manage the team, you will also be expected to personally support operational HR activity, including administration and correspondence, when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
