Description
Imagine leading the transformation of a modern, scalable IT function that underpins a diverse, multi-site hospitality business. You’re setting the direction for technology across Hotels, Restaurants, and Care — balancing immediate operational needs with long-term strategic vision.
You take ownership of stabilising and evolving the IT landscape, addressing current service and risk challenges while building a resilient, high-performing function. From enterprise architecture and cybersecurity to service delivery and supplier management, you ensure technology enables the business to operate efficiently and grow with confidence.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you lead key initiatives across data, integration, and managed services, positioning IT as a practical, value-driving asset.
As Group IT Director, you’re not just managing systems — you’re shaping the future of technology across the organisation.
What you will do in this Splendid Role:
- Define and implement a clear IT function and target operating model aligned to business needs
- Establish strong governance, decision-making frameworks, and accountability across IT, data, and suppliers
- Lead the stabilisation of IT services, addressing risks and strengthening controls
- Own the re-procurement and mobilisation of managed service providers, including ITSM tooling
- Design and deliver a business-aligned IT service delivery model that supports operational excellence
- Drive infrastructure and network resilience, including backup, recovery, and lifecycle management
- Act as design authority across enterprise architecture, ensuring robust data and integration standards
- Oversee delivery of key initiatives across data, integration, and cybersecurity through internal teams and partners
- Manage supplier performance, SLAs, and commercial value to ensure optimal service and cost efficiency
- Own IT budgeting, cost control, and investment prioritisation to maximise return on technology spend
- Partner with business leaders to align IT, data, and reporting with operational priorities
- Build and lead a high-performing, lean internal IT team within a partner-led delivery model

What Makes you Splendid?
- Senior IT leadership experience gained in multi‑site, hospitality, or similarly complex operational environments.
- Proven track record modernising, stabilising, and professionalising IT functions.
- Experience supporting business growth, scalability, and operational expansion through technology.
- Hands‑on leader, comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
- Experience designing and managing hybrid, supplier‑led IT operating models and integrating multiple systems, suppliers, and platforms.
- Strong background delivering IT transformation and service‑improvement programmes.
- Solid understanding of ITSM principles, service desk operations, incident and asset management.
- Strong technical knowledge across infrastructure, networks, hosting, and cloud/hybrid environments.
- Experience overseeing resilience, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Proven ability to establish governance frameworks for architecture, data, and cybersecurity, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and supplier/contract performance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence Executive and Board‑level leaders and translate technical topics into clear business outcomes.
