Contribute to our vision

We are recruiting for an effective and high performing individual to join our Hull Blade Factory team in the role of Group Lead (Production Shift Manager).

As a Group Lead (Production Shift Manager) you will be responsibility for leading a large team of Production Operatives in a fast-paced environment. You will take full responsibility for performance, ensuring your team has clear direction and a high level of engagement, delivering all activities safely and efficiently.

This is an opportunity to be part of a growing team within a dynamic business, delivering innovation in our renewable energy division.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Responsible for delivery of SQDCP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People) and ensuring key KPI targets are achieved across the shift
  • Ensuring the correct reporting of incidents and accidents, near misses and unsafe acts and condition
  • Ensuring optimum utilization of resources
  • Ensuring manufacturing guidelines, processes, and procedures are followed to ensure safe delivery of a high-quality product on time every time
  • Leading and supervising assigned Team Leaders and Operatives across a wide area of disciplines
  • Clear, concise, and effective communications to your team.
  • Responsible for performance management across the team
  • Effective and thorough implementation of the blade handover process
  • Leading team in ensuring correct Prisma bookings are adhered to with full understanding of routing importance, managing own teams spend budget for workwear and consumables
  • Management of competence across the operational area
  • Ownership of the HR process for all employees within operational are
  • Hold constructive feedback dialogues to ensure right first time performance is achieved.
  • Ownership of operational standards including but not limited to 5S, housekeeping, short interval control and process validation.
  • Ownership of takt adherence and line balancing across operational area
  • Ownership for the review of all task related risk assessment within the operational area

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and the importance to lead the change.

What You Bring:

  • Leadership – experienced in managing and directing teams in a manufacturing/production environment preferable
  • Experienced in working in the wind industry desirable but not essential – other applicable industry experience will be considered
  • Possesses excellent decision-making skills and an innovative approach to problem solving – previous experience in resolving issues and supporting high performing, successful teams
  • Experienced in working with and delivering production plans and associated disciplines
