Job Description
Are you passionate about making a tangible impact locally and changing the lives of vulnerable young people? Roundabout is looking for a Group Living Key Worker - Day to support homeless young people aged 16-25 in Sheffield.
Role Overview
The Group Living day keyworker role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to support young people, aged 16-18 care leavers and looked after children, to learn life skills and progress towards their own tenancy. Implementing fantastic interpersonal skills will empower young people to achieve and strive for more.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team with some shifts lone worked.
- Implement excellent interpersonal skills to empower young people to achieve and strive for more.
- Support young people from diverse backgrounds who have experienced trauma.
- Work alongside other Roundabout services and other professional services, requiring excellent multi-agency working and communication skills.

Key Worker Duties
- Develop life skills, make safe choices, manage their mental wellbeing and build up a community network.
- Support young people with complex issues, such as family breakdown, substance misuse, and navigating the asylum process.
- Help with day-to-day challenges such as budgeting, accessing education and employment, preparing for adulthood, and maintaining a tenancy.
Work Environment
- Part of a team based at the Group Living Project.
- Work across the whole week including weekends to guarantee a 24/7 service.
- Work a three-week rolling rota, incorporating early (7.30-4pm) and late (12.30/1.30-10pm) shifts during the week and 12.5 hour shifts one Saturday and one Sunday over the three-week rota.

Requirements
- Applicants with additional specialist skills, such as knowledge of the asylum system and trauma-informed support, would be well received.
