About the Role
Hays are delighted to be partnering with a growing and acquisitive organisation to recruit a Group Management Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a high-performing finance team and take ownership of consolidated group reporting across multiple entities.
Working closely with senior finance leadership, including the Finance Director and CFO, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, providing meaningful analysis and supporting strategic decision-making across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce monthly consolidated group management accounts.
- Consolidate financial information from multiple entities, ensuring consistency and accuracy of reporting.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis and performance commentary against budgets and forecasts.
- Investigate financial trends and anomalies, presenting findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Manage month-end activities including accruals, prepayments, and journal postings.
- Support the timely delivery of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
- Oversee group VAT reporting and compliance requirements.
- Assist with statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to drive improved financial performance.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial controls, reporting, and finance processes.

About You
We are interested in speaking with ambitious finance professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and enjoy combining technical accounting expertise with commercial insight. To be successful, you will ideally have:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, although strong finalists will also be considered.
- Previous experience producing management accounts within a multi-entity business.
- Experience of group consolidations and intercompany accounting.
- Strong month-end and year-end accounting knowledge.
- Experience producing financial analysis, commentary, and reporting packs.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
