Your mission
Are you ready to lead with purpose in the nuclear industry? We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineering leader to manage and develop the UK Civil Engineering group, the largest discipline group in Tractebel UK. This is a discipline leadership role, focused on people development, technical quality, nuclear safety and delivery performance.
The Group Manager – Civil Engineering will report hierarchically to the Head of Civil Métier and operationally to the UK Engineering Manager. The role will work closely with the UK Engineering Manager and other discipline leaders to support engineering governance, resource planning, technical quality and effective multi-disciplinary delivery, while maintaining a clear focus on the Civil Engineering group. Through this collaboration, the role will also provide appropriate exposure to engineering management practices and help develop a broader understanding of multi-disciplinary delivery models.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Building strong working relationships with métier leaders in France, Belgium and Engineering Centres.
- Supporting commercial activities through proposal reviews, technical input and client engagement.
