Group Operations & Transformation Director
The opportunity
The Ingenuity Group is entering an exciting next stage of growth.
As we continue to grow organically and through acquisition, we are looking for an exceptional Group Operations & Transformation Director to work directly with our Group CEO and alongside our CFO, founders and Managing Directors.
This is a newly created, high-impact role with a broad mandate: strengthen our operational capability, lead major transformation initiatives, integrate acquisitions, connect systems and processes, and help us realise the potential of data, technology and AI across the Group.
We are not looking for someone to add another layer of corporate management. Our founders and MDs will continue to lead their businesses, clients, commercial performance and teams. Instead, we want an outstanding operator who can work alongside them — bringing additional expertise, capacity and challenge to help make our businesses more robust, scalable and successful.
What you’ll do
Your remit will span five major areas:
Operational improvement
- Partner with our founders and MDs to identify operational constraints and opportunities, improve workflows, resource planning, systems and processes, and strengthen the operational capability of each business.
Transformation
- Build and lead a focused portfolio of Group-wide transformation initiatives, turning strategic priorities into practical change and measurable results.

M&A integration
- Lead the operational integration of acquired businesses, determining what we should integrate, what should remain independent and how we preserve the entrepreneurial strengths that made those businesses successful in the first place.
Systems, data & AI
- Help us better connect our systems, processes and data while identifying and implementing practical uses of AI and technology that improve productivity, delivery, quality and insight.
Transaction readiness
- Work closely with the CEO and CFO to ensure the Group’s operations, systems, information and processes are increasingly robust, scalable and ready to withstand the scrutiny of future investment and transaction activity.
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for an unusually capable operator who combines strategic thinking with a strong bias towards getting things done.
You are likely to have:
- Significant senior experience in operations, transformation or post-acquisition integration.
- Worked in a growing, multi-business or acquisitive organisation.
- A strong track record of translating strategy into practical and sustainable change.
- Experience joining up systems, processes and teams across previously independent businesses.
- Hands-on operating experience, potentially complemented by earlier consulting or transformation experience.
- A practical understanding of data, technology and AI as business and operational enablers.
- Experience working successfully with entrepreneurial founders and senior leaders.
- The judgement to know what should be standardised and what is better left alone.
- The ability to influence, challenge and build trust without relying on hierarchy.
- The ability to move comfortably from a strategic discussion with the CEO to the detail of making something actually happen.

Exposure to marketing services, professional services, data or technology-enabled businesses would be particularly relevant.
Above all, you will be intellectually curious, commercially minded, pragmatic, low ego and relentlessly focused on delivery.

Within 12–18 months, we expect the successful candidate to have materially strengthened our operational capability, improved how our businesses work together, established a repeatable approach to acquisition integration, delivered important transformation programmes and moved practical data and AI opportunities from ideas into implementation.
