Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Group Quality Manager (M&M Labs) to join our team here in Liverpool, UK.
As a direct report to the Group Quality Lead, the Group Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement and executing the AHK Quality strategy across Group Laboratory operations, specifically targeting metals and minerals analysis. The position involves leading the strategic guidance of crucial Group Quality and Technical programs to support overarching business goals. By engaging with stakeholders at every tier of the company, the Group Quality Manager fosters consistent standardisation and compliance with corporate technical and quality protocols.

Do you have what it takes?
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
Required knowledge and work experience
Essential
- Understanding of statistics and method validation.
- Able to process large data sets to reach conclusions.
- Proficient in all systems associated with the role including Microsoft Office or Google suites, LIMS etc.
- Able to set-up, manage and spot deficiencies in ISO 17025 compliant Quality Management Systems.
- Deep understanding of the chemistry associated with commercial assay methods.
- Effective people management skills.
- Effective project management skills.

- Able to influence and persuade others into adopting alternative approaches.
- Able to critically review technical information and spot root causes and suggest solutions.
- High attention to detail.
- Able to focus on meeting given deadlines.
- Able to work independently and take the initiative.
- Able to communicate effectively in a range of different formats and at all levels in the organisation.

Required Work Experience
- Substantial experience in a commercial analytical laboratory environment.
- Experience in any/all of the following analytical techniques - WDXRF, EDXRF, FAAS, ICP, ICPMS, CIC, IR combustion, Fire assay, Automated and Manual titration, Electrogravimetry, sample preparation and digestion will be desired.
- A proven record in Laboratory Quality Management.
- A proven record in internal auditing.
Required Qualifications
- University related degree in Quality or other Science based degree.
Required Languages
- Fluent in English. The ability to speak Spanish, French or Chinese is desirable.
Travel
- Sporadic overseas travel, generally no more than two weeks per trip.
