Group Regulatory Affairs Manager

One Aftersales are recruiting for a Group Regulatory Affairs Manager on a full-time permanent basis.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the Product & Environmental Regulation and Compliance team: Oversee the regulatory and compliance framework for all Volkswagen Group UK (VWG UK) brands and Group Aftersales. Ensure the business is well-positioned to identify, assess, and respond to evolving compliance obligations.
  • Ensure compliance of vehicles, products, and services: Ensure all vehicles, products, and services placed on the UK market by VWG UK comply with applicable regulatory, legislative, safety, and environmental requirements. Interpret existing and emerging regulations, advise and direct VWG Brands and Group Functions on required actions, and drive implementation to mitigate regulatory, legal, and reputational risk.
  • Lead Regulation Monitoring and Compliance requirements: Ensure there is no breach of UK and EU regulations in the end-to-end lifecycle of vehicles, parts, and chemicals in the UK.
  • Develop and embed a Compliance culture: Lead the Product Regulation and Compliance Team to develop and embed a Compliance culture across the VWG business.

Skills & experience you can bring to the role:

  • Proven track record of maintaining compliance across a broad and complex range.
  • Automotive industry experience at OEM and retail level.
  • Proven experience of leading cross-functional and cross-brand working groups.
  • A thorough understanding of business management, gained through extensive experience in a variety of automotive management positions.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage performance and deliver results through others.
  • Capable of combining strategic thought with a pragmatic operational management style.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and successfully negotiate and influence from Board of Director level through to individual team members.
