What we’re looking for
We’re looking for passionate team players to bring joy to our customers every day. As a Group Reporting Accountant you’ll sit within the Group Finance team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting within our organisation. You will support with the month-end reporting process, facilitating the preparation of the monthly P&L flash files, supporting the markets with in-depth balance sheet reviews, and supporting the team with the statutory audit process. This position requires strong attention to detail, strong analytical and technical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.

Key responsibilities
- Compile and prepare the monthly P&L pack by engaging with markets during flash calls, analysing performance drivers, consolidating market commentary, and delivering clear explanations of key variances at Market and Group level.
- Prepare and deliver the Group P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and bank covenant reporting components of the monthly Board pack.
- Becoming fluent in the Group’s reporting tools (NetSuite, Wdesk, Business Objects, Power BI, Solution7).
- Play a key role in the year-end close process and statutory audit, including preparation and submission of financial information, coordination with auditors, and ensuring timely resolution of queries.
- Update consolidation and reporting templates as required.
- Work with consolidation and reporting system and support continuous monitoring of performance. Help to make improvements of the system, including functional maintenance.
- Prepare reporting timetables and distribution to markets.
- Support the Group’s closing process and serve as point of contact for Global Shared Service Centre and Market Finance teams and support them with accounting issues.
- Execute consolidation of accounts, make corporate adjustments, eliminate and analyse intercompany transactions.
- Take responsibility for reviewing the Balance Sheet pack, investigating significant variances, and ensuring integrity of regional and consolidated financial statements.
- Preparation and compilation of diverse financial reports on a routine basis: ensuring compliance with the accounting guidelines and procedures (especially IFRS).

Experience and Skills required
- Professionally qualified (ACA or equivalent).
- An understanding of, and experience of finance transaction processes; accounting controls; general ledger related entries under IFRS.
- Thorough understanding of how GL / Closing processes fit into overall process and service delivery.
- Proven experience of statutory and management accounting or financial reporting role.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong aptitude with IT systems, preferably PowerBI and NetSuite.
- Resilient – able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Strong excel skills – quick and efficient at creating reports and analysing data.
- Able to analyse information and present it in a format that is easily understood by the audience.
- Able to solve complex problems and extract information from available data to gain a detailed understanding of the root cause analysis and investigations.
- Strategic thinking, and ability to affect change and continuous improvement.

The interview journey
Every interview process at Pret begins with the same two stages. First, you’ll have a relaxed 30-minute conversation with our recruitment team so we can get to know you and your experience. Next, you’ll be invited to a one-hour, in-person interview with the hiring manager at our Head Office in London Victoria.
Depending on the role and function, there may be additional stages. These could include time spent in one of our shops, completing a task, or meeting a senior leader.
