Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll be doing

  • Pulling the group's numbers together every month across the UK, Europe and the wider group
  • Being the person people go to when an accounting question needs a proper answer, and keeping everyone ahead of changing standards
  • Playing a hands-on part in year-end, from the statutory accounts through to the Group audit
  • Teaming up with finance colleagues in different countries to get balance sheets in better shape
  • Making sure the right people have the right information at the right time, so decisions are made with confidence
  • Spotting clunky processes, fixing them and passing on what works
  • Making sure each newly acquired business slots neatly into the group's numbers
  • Managing a small team of part-qualified accountants

What makes it different:

  • It's an autonomous culture with a large finance team, so there's real depth to learn from and you won't be tucked away in a corner. You'll get genuine exposure to senior stakeholders and the decisions that shape the group. You'll also report to a hiring manager who's supportive, switched on and genuinely keen to develop their people.
  • Progression here isn't a vague promise. The business is constantly evolving, and there's plenty of room to grow with it.
