Group Reporting Manager | initial 6-month FTC, with potential to go perm | £75,000 to £85,000 per annum

Altum Consulting are partnering with a global maritime business to recruit a technically strong Group Reporting Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA qualified accountant with a strong audit background and proven industry and group reporting experience to take ownership of consolidated reporting, statutory accounts and technical accounting.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the Group Finance team, supporting the preparation of consolidated financial statements, leading statutory reporting requirements, drafting the annual report, strengthening financial controls and driving continuous improvement across the group reporting process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the group consolidation and reporting process across monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles, ensuring accurate preparation of consolidated financial statements, management accounts and board reporting packs under FRS 102 and IFRS.
  • Own key consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, reporting pack submissions and the resolution of consolidation queries across subsidiaries, branches and international entities.
  • Provide technical accounting support across the group, advising on complex accounting areas including revenue recognition, lease accounting, foreign currency, business combinations and the application of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and IFRS.
  • Draft, maintain and implement group accounting policies, technical papers and accounting memos to support consistent application of accounting standards and key judgements within the financial statements.
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts for the parent company and key UK entities, including disclosures, supporting schedules, reconciliations, going concern assessments and parent company support letters where required.
  • Manage the year-end external audit process, acting as the key day-to-day contact for auditors, coordinating audit evidence and liaising with overseas auditors to ensure group audit and statutory reporting deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and enhance the group financial controls framework, identifying areas for improvement, remediating control weaknesses and ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory reporting obligations across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Support tax reporting requirements by providing accurate financial information for corporation tax computations, transfer pricing documentation and related compliance matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the group reporting process, including automation, finance systems optimisation, improved reporting quality and reduced close timelines.
  • Mentor and support junior members of the Group Finance team, where applicable, contributing to a collaborative finance function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
