Role: Group Financial Reporting Manager
Rate: £450PD - £600PD depending on experience (Inside IR35)
Length: 3 - 6 Months with opportunity to go perm
The Role
The Group Finance Manager will take a lead role across the Group's reporting and audit processes, acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and supporting finance teams across the wider organisation.
The role will have a strong focus on year-end and half-year reporting, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and compliant with relevant accounting standards. You will also support the wider finance function across areas including internal controls, statutory reporting, technical accounting, and month-end reporting, as well as deputising for senior members of the team when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Group year-end audit and interim review processes.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and manage audit requirements and timelines.
- Support the preparation of Group financial statements and wider reporting requirements.
- Coordinate reporting and statutory audit requirements across different parts of the business.
- Prepare and review technical accounting papers and support the resolution of complex accounting matters.
- Support internal audit, controls, risk, and assurance activities.
- Review and analyse financial information, including working capital and performance against budget and forecast.
- Support month-end reporting and wider Group Finance processes.
- Provide support across statutory, tax, and compliance activities where required.
- Work closely with senior finance stakeholders across the business.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls, and ways of working.

About You
We are open to candidates from two key backgrounds:
Audit background
- Currently operating at Audit Manager or Senior Manager level.
- Experience managing a portfolio of hard sector clients, ideally within a listed, international, or complex environment.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, audit, and IFRS.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and managing multiple audit deadlines.

Industry background
- Qualified accountant who started their career in Audit before moving into industry.
- Proven experience in a Group Reporting, Group Finance, or Financial Reporting role.
- Strong technical accounting and consolidation experience.
- Experience working within a complex or international organisation.
Skills & Experience
- ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent qualified accountant.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Group financial reporting.
- Solid understanding of audit and statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience working across multiple entities, jurisdictions, or business units.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on role and managing competing priorities.
- Experience within a listed or complex organisation would be advantageous.
