Duration: 5 Months

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced technical accountant to step into a pivotal interim role within our Financial Control team to support with year end. You'll work with our external auditors, provide the technical accounting backbone for our IFRS reporting, and bring clarity to some genuinely complex consolidation and acquisition accounting challenges. It's a role for someone who's as comfortable in the technical detail as they are explaining it to a non-finance stakeholder.
What You'll Do
- Lead the annual external audit — be the day-to-day face for auditors and keep every deliverable on track and on time
- Own technical accounting positions — assess and document key judgements, estimates, and complex matters under IFRS
- Drive statutory reporting — support the preparation and review of annual reports and financial statements that meet the highest standards
- Navigate acquisition accounting — provide technical input on business combinations and integration activity as the Group grows
- Master the consolidation — work across jurisdictions, entities, and currencies, reviewing eliminations, FX translation, and consolidation adjustments
- Bridge IFRS and US GAAP — evaluate and document accounting implications across both frameworks where relevant
- Build real relationships — partner with finance, legal, tax, and treasury stakeholders to keep everyone aligned
- Raise the bar — drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, audit efficiency, and accounting governance

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
