Group Reporting Manager - FTC / Interim
Location: West London / Hybrid
Duration: 6-12 months, depending on availability
Type: Fixed-Term Contract or Interim Day Rate
The Opportunity
A growing and acquisitive UK-listed group is looking to appoint a Group Reporting Manager on either a Fixed-Term Contract or Interim Day Rate basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong qualified accountant to join a central finance function and take ownership of key Group reporting and consolidation activities within a complex, multi-entity environment. The role would suit an experienced Group Reporting or Financial Reporting professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and can quickly take ownership of existing processes.
The Role
Reporting into the senior finance leadership team, you will take responsibility for the Group's reporting and consolidation activities, working closely with finance teams across the business and senior internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of the monthly Group consolidation and reporting process
- Preparation and review of consolidated management information
- Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts and annual reporting
- Managing the year-end reporting timetable and coordinating with external auditors
- Ensuring compliance with relevant UK accounting standards and reporting requirements
- Providing technical accounting guidance across the Group
- Reviewing accounting treatments for acquisitions, disposals and other significant transactions
- Supporting the integration of acquired businesses into the Group reporting framework
- Preparing and reviewing technical accounting papers
- Maintaining and improving Group reporting policies and procedures
- Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and systems
- Working closely with FP&A, financial control and operational finance teams
- Supporting Board and senior management reporting
- Assisting with wider finance transformation and process improvement initiatives

About You
We are looking for an ACA or CA qualified accountant with strong Group Reporting, Financial Reporting or Technical Accounting experience. Ideally from an Audit background. You will ideally have:

- Strong experience within a Group Reporting or Financial Reporting position
- Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP and/or IFRS
- Strong consolidation and statutory reporting experience
- Experience working within a complex, multi-entity organisation
- Experience dealing with external auditors
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent Excel and systems skills
- The ability to quickly understand existing processes and operate autonomously
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- A hands-on, proactive approach and excellent attention to detail
- Experience within a listed, acquisitive, PE-backed or complex group environment would be advantageous.
