Summary of Role
To support the growth of NTT DATA Business Solutions UK (NTT DATA), there is a need to augment the Analytics and EPM Support Team with additional high-quality technical and functional experience in SAP S/4 Group Reporting.
This role will report to the Analytics and EPM Team Manager for the day-to-day activity, within the Delivery and Customer Success (D&CS) team.
The Group Reporting Support Consultant is a new role within the team responsible for leading the delivery of statutory consolidation solutions that meet the needs of our customers.
Your technical and functional skills will be developed further within the EPM space, and you will become an integral part of our team and practice leading the support of Group Reporting customers.
You will help build key relationships, design and deliver best practices and custom solutions that resolve client technical challenges, and ensure reference-able work to provide the base for the practice's development.
As a D&CS consultant, you will be responsible for working day-to-day with a team of support consultants delivering services to a wide range of UK clients, plus some global clients. This is a very customer-focused, hands-on role where you will be expected to work on customer issues, developments, as well as collaborate with other functional and technical consultants, within the UK D&CS Team.
Additionally, as a Consultant, you will be part of the Analytics & EPM Practice which operates under a line of business model for both projects and support. There will be the potential for project work and wider cross skill to products and knowledge under dedicated training plans and knowledge sharing.
This role is remote based, with some travel occasionally required to customer site. Additionally, to NTT offices for regular team contact and events.
Technical Must-Haves
- Deep experience in delivering multiple consolidation projects using SAP S/4HANA Finance for Group Reporting.
- Exhibit experience in the delivery of Group Reporting Data Collection (GRDC) along with customizations within the tool.

Technical Nice-to-Haves
- SAP Analytics Cloud Planning or equivalent solution experience.
- In-depth skills configuring Planning models.
- SAP Business Planning and Consolidation experience developing Planning and consolidation models.
- SAC integration with BW, Datasphere, or S/4HANA.
- Good understanding of cross-module integration with other SAP solutions such as ECC or S/4HANA modules.
Role and Responsibilities
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles, consolidation accounting, financial & operational planning, and management reporting processes.
- 3 - 5 years of industry experience. Should be experienced in support and project delivery. This includes gathering process requirements, delivering design workshops, and validating documentation.
- Experience in supporting and testing on Group Reporting SAP Release and upgrade cycles for S/4 Group Reporting and GRDC.
- Adept at working in multi-disciplinary teams, developing and maintaining strong business relationships, and performing complex analysis and remediation for customers.
- Has a thirst for learning and staying on top of the evolving technology landscape. Actively shares and transfers own expertise and operational knowledge in a structured method, thus making it useful and functional.
- Deliver solutions against contractual customer requirements and service level agreements.
- Advise, and define planning processes and solutions by helping to solve business and technical challenges leveraging the SAP S/4 Group Reporting platform.
- Can perform the role of specialist subject matter expertise (SME) in line with the Group Reporting solution and can be regarded as a trusted advisor.
- Proven experience working with SAP S/4 Group Reporting up to current release – especially areas related to administration, configuration, bug analysis and support.
- Experience in assessing bugs/issues and finding associated SAP Notes and KBA articles.
- Produce support documentation and specifications according to managed services processes and procedures to ISO 9001 standard.
- Follow D&CS processes to meet customer SLAs and update and maintain all relevant information in the NTT Ticketing systems.
- Drives results and demonstrates a high level of commitment to the implementation of company strategy and vision.
- Recognises risks and proposes ways to minimize or avoid these.
- Actively shares and transfers own expertise and operational knowledge in a structured method, thus making it useful and functional.
- Communicate regularly and promptly to all stakeholders. Provide escalations where required.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge and zest for the latest trends and utilises this understanding to bring innovation to NTT DATA development.
- Excellent English communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
