Senior Group Risk & Employee Benefits Consultant
Location: Fully Remote
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Uncapped Commission
OTE: £250,000 - £300,000
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
UK Staffing Group are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a highly successful and rapidly growing insurance brokerage to appoint a Senior Group Risk & Employee Benefits Consultant. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for an experienced Group Risk professional who wants to take their career and earning potential to the next level.
The business has an established and highly successful protection operation, a strong client base and an extensive network generating opportunities. However, Employee Benefits and Group Risk represent a significant untapped area of the business, creating a substantial opportunity for the successful individual to develop new revenue streams and build something with genuine long-term potential.
This is not a role where you'll simply inherit an existing desk and be expected to manage renewals. The business is creating the opportunity for a specialist to come in, utilise their expertise and develop a new area of the proposition from the ground up, with access to existing client relationships, warm opportunities and a wider network of potential business. And importantly, the business is prepared to reward success.
With a basic salary of up to £75,000 and uncapped earning potential of £250,000-£300,000 OTE, this is an opportunity for someone commercially driven to have a genuine level of control over their earnings.
The Opportunity
As the Senior Group Risk & Employee Benefits Consultant, you'll become a key specialist within the business, advising SME and corporate clients across:
- Group Life Assurance
- Group Income Protection
- Group Critical Illness
- Private Medical Insurance
- Wider Employee Benefits
You'll have the freedom to use your technical expertise and commercial experience to identify opportunities, develop relationships, advise clients and convert business. A particularly attractive aspect of the role is the amount of untapped opportunity already sitting within the business.
The brokerage currently has a significant number of client relationships and referral opportunities, but Employee Benefits is an area they have not historically maximised. This means you're not being asked to walk into a saturated market and compete for every piece of business. You'll have the opportunity to open up a completely new revenue stream, leveraging relationships that already exist alongside developing your own network and generating new business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
