Group Risk & Protection Consultant

We're looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Group Risk & Protection Consultant to join our growing Health & Protection team.

As part of our continued growth, you'll play a key role in developing new business, supporting existing clients and delivering expert advice across our Health & Protection proposition.

We're open to candidates with experience in either Group Risk OR Protection. You don't need to be an expert across both areas from day one. We'll support you to build on your existing strengths while developing your knowledge across the wider Health & Protection market over time.

You'll be joining a friendly, collaborative and professional team of 12 colleagues, where you'll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships, drive business growth and make a real impact on the continued success of the department.

This role can be fully remote, with occasional travel required. If you prefer an office-based or hybrid working arrangement, we'll support you with access to your nearest Jensten office.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Developing new business opportunities through referrals, enquiries and relationship-building activities.
  • Promoting the Health & Protection proposition both internally across the Group and externally to prospective clients.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell relevant products and services to new and existing clients.
  • Providing advice and recommendations tailored to clients' individual needs and objectives.
  • Reviewing and analysing employee benefit arrangements to identify opportunities for improvement, cost efficiencies and enhanced outcomes.
  • Attending client and colleague meetings, both virtually and in person, as required.
  • Ensuring all activity is delivered in line with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty requirements and internal compliance standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
