12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Offices in Surrey and Central London but travelling to UK based sites is required

Up to £69,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance + Benefits

We're supporting a leading UK construction, property services and infrastructure organisation in the search for a Group Senior Internal Auditor to join their Group Assurance function on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver operational and project-based internal audits across the organisation
  • Conduct reviews covering commercial, financial, contractual and project delivery controls
  • Assess project governance, programme management, subcontractor management and quality processes
  • Identify risks, control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement
  • Produce clear, concise and commercially focused audit reports
  • Present findings and recommendations to project teams and senior stakeholders
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the internal audit and assurance function
  • Support the implementation of a new enterprise-wide GRC platform

Experience:

  • Experience auditing or assuring major construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of project controls and project delivery environments
  • Knowledge of commercial management, subcontractor controls and project governance
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and project leadership teams
  • Professional qualifications such as IIA, CIOB, RICS or equivalent - Desirable

The role offers flexibility on location, with access to offices in the Surrey and London. Travel to project sites across the UK will be required periodically, typically every 4-6 weeks.
