Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a specialist manufacturer to recruit an experienced Group QHSE Manager out of their main site in Melksham with occasional travel to the second site in the Midlands.

Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director, you'll lead the development and continuous improvement of the Group's integrated management systems, champion a proactive safety culture and ensure the business continues to deliver the highest standards of quality, compliance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing the Group Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across two manufacturing sites.
  • Maintaining and continually improving the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001.
  • Managing supplier quality performance and supporting supplier development initiatives.
  • Developing and maintaining Health & Safety management systems, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation including the Health & Safety at Work Act, PUWER, COSHH, RIDDOR and Manual Handling Regulations.
  • Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations and implementing preventative actions.
  • Driving environmental compliance, sustainability initiatives and supporting ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Monitoring environmental performance including waste reduction, recycling, energy efficiency and carbon reduction initiatives.
  • Establishing and reporting on key QHSE KPIs to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Leading continuous improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Coaching and supporting managers to embed QHSE best practice throughout the organisation.

We're looking for an experienced QHSE professional who enjoys influencing change, engaging with stakeholders and driving high standards across a manufacturing environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in a Senior QHSE, Quality or Health & Safety management role within manufacturing.
  • Proven experience managing ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience leading both internal and external audits.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Confidence analysing data, reporting KPIs and presenting to senior leadership.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Internal Auditor qualification.
