Group Specification & Regulatory Manager

The MMM begins with you: Join a team that brings together tradition and innovation – and let your passion for food lead the way.

Your Tasks Include

  • Lead and develop the Group Specification Team, including recruitment, structure, training and performance management
  • Oversee departmental workload, ensuring priorities, KPIs and tasks are delivered in line with business and customer expectations
  • Ensure internal systems are in place for efficient, compliant collation of information from manufacturing sites and supporting departments
  • Drive on-time delivery of accurate sample specifications, product label verification and integration of new products into the live portfolio
  • Maintain and update product specifications and labels in line with formulation changes and customer regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with key accounts and major retailers, including participation in technical review meetings
  • Manage customer portal maintenance, responding promptly to alerts, notifications and enquiries
  • Identify and communicate legislative and customer requirement changes, putting clear action plans in place to ensure compliance
  • Continuously develop and improve internal change control and specification build processes
  • Support certification documentation including Halal, Kosher, Organic and other relevant schemes
  • Maintain accurate records including development systems

What You Bring With You

  • Degree in Food Labelling or equivalent qualification
  • 10+ years' experience in a Technical or Quality function within the food industry
  • 5+ years' experience in specification writing and maintenance
  • External food labelling qualifications under EU/UK legislation
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams across multiple locations
  • Experience working directly with UK major retailers and their specification portals
  • Customer-facing and retailer account management experience
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; German and Italian are a distinct advantage
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • High attention to detail, solution-focused mindset and a "can do" attitude
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
