MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in leadership and operational strategy, such as change management, performance measurement, and business restructuring.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience utilizing AI productivity tools to solve complex, multi-layered problems and streamline business or development workflows.
  • Experience with analytical problem-solving, quantitative analysis, and communicating findings to leadership.
  • Marketing experience, ideally a mix of B2C and B2B, ideally in the technology sector.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
  • AI first maker, with a strong doer orientation to deliver impact. Proven power user of AI

ABOUT THE JOB:

Strategy & Operations (S&O) professionals in Google’s Marketing organization provide business critical insights and analytics, ensure cross-functional alignment of goals and execution, and help teams drive strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. Whether you are embedded within a specific marketing team to use insights to enable better marketing decisions or the global S&O function to equip the organization to succeed at scale, you will engage with Google leadership in order to establish Marketing’s strategic direction. You will manage planning and operational processes and work cross-functionally with key partners across Marketing, Product, Finance and Engineering to solve our toughest challenges, advocate for high-priority projects, and drive greater operational excellence within Marketing.

To be successful in this role, you have a hypothesis-driven approach to problem solving, effective quantitative and communication skills, and the ability to take on broad-reaching and ambiguous questions while working collaboratively and cross-functionally with Googlers of all levels.

As a part of the EMEA Marketing at Google, an increasingly important driver of business strategy for the company across all products, from Google Search and Ads to Chrome, Pixel, and emerging businesses, the “Strategy and Operations” team consists of strategic business thinkers and operations specialists who support the VP, Marketing EMEA and the EMEA Marketing Management Group in setting regional strategy, allocating resources, building Marketing to scale, optimising the business impact and Return on Investment (ROI), and articulating Marketing’s goal for communication. As the UKDEEP Vice President Strategy and Operations Partner, you will act as the primary strategic thought partner and operational leader to the Vice President and leadership team of UKDEEP (encompassing UK Marketing, Regional P&D, and Events and Experiences).Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary strategic thought partner to the UKDEEP VP and leadership group, providing data-driven recommendations and structuring complex strategic and operational challenges.
  • Ensure operational discipline in the management of the EMEA Marketing business, through rigorous business management processes.
  • Drive organizational transformation to establish the "organization of the future" and hit short-term organizational health goals, collaborating with central S&O strategy.
  • Foster and accelerate AI transformation within the leadership team and broader workflows.
  • Provide business reporting and performance recommendations to the EMEA Marketing Leadership Team and management group, interfacing with top leaders across EMEA Marketing, Finance, HR, and Communications.
