Indigo Food Group (IFG) is looking for a Group Supplier Assurance Lead to play a key role in shaping a safe, ethical and sustainable supply chain across our business.
This is a high-impact opportunity for a technically strong professional with a passion for food safety, supplier assurance and sustainability to work cross-functionally with our site technical teams, procurement and Group Head of Sustainability.
About the Role
You’ll lead the delivery and continuous improvement of IFG’s group-wide supplier assurance programme, ensuring compliance with food safety, ethical and sustainability standards while driving positive change and transparency across the supply base.
You’ll be responsible for turning data into insight, assessing risk, influencing stakeholders and supporting IFG’s wider sustainability commitments.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain IFG’s supplier assurance management system
- Assess and manage supplier risk across food safety, sustainability and ethics
- Analyse audit data, policies, HACCP/VACCP/TACCP, allergen controls and traceability
- Maintain the group-approved supplier list and emergency contacts
- Drive supplier improvement plans collaboratively
- Support sustainability reporting and external obligations
- Partner with procurement on onboarding new suppliers
- Conduct targeted internal audits to support sites and customer requirements
- Deliver clear, structured reporting to senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or similar (highly desirable)
- FMCG technical experience with supplier assurance exposure
- Strong understanding of HACCP, VACCP, TACCP and BRC
- Awareness of ethical and sustainability standards (e.g. SEDEX, modern slavery, deforestation)
- Confident communicator able to influence internally and externally
- Highly organised, analytical and comfortable working cross-site
- Passion for sustainability and ethical sourcing
- Full UK driving licence

Pay:
£45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
