Group Sustainability & Environment Manager
A well-established, multi-site food manufacturing group is looking for a new addition to their team. This is a newly shaped opportunity to lead sustainability strategy across the business and turn ambition into measurable progress.
The role
Working across sites and functions, you'll lead the development and delivery of the Group's sustainability and environmental strategy, reducing environmental impact while meeting the expectations of customers, colleagues, and stakeholders. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and driving the Group-wide sustainability and environmental strategy
- Leading initiatives across carbon reduction, energy, water, waste, and sustainable packaging
- Supporting the business on environmental legislation and compliance
- Building robust sustainability reporting and data systems to track progress
- Partnering with customers, suppliers, and external organisations to strengthen sustainability credentials and performance
- Supporting environmental audits, continuous improvement, and the future development of an ISO 14001-aligned management system
- Building a sustainability culture where colleagues at every level contribute
- Travel to Scunthorpe and Northern Ireland

What you'll bring
- Experience leading environmental or sustainability programmes within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or a similar environment
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, sustainability reporting, and emerging environmental challenges
- Confidence working with data and translating insight into action
- Strong stakeholder skills, engaging with everyone from operational teams to senior leaders
- A collaborative, curious approach and a genuine drive to make an impact
