JSS are hiring for a Group Tax Accountant position with a large, listed UK group.

This is a full-time permanent role based in their Worcestershire head office, but supporting 3 days per week remote working.

This is a genuinely broad role covering both Direct and Indirect Tax, making it ideal for a qualified tax professional looking to move from practice into industry, or an existing in-house tax professional looking to broaden their experience.

You’ll work closely with senior tax leaders across the business, taking ownership of key compliance, reporting and advisory activities, including:

  • Reviewing UK and overseas Corporation Tax and VAT returns.
  • Supporting tax accounting, reporting and statutory disclosures.
  • Assisting with tax audits, transfer pricing and tax governance.
  • Advising on business projects and legislative changes, including Pillar 2.
  • Supporting tax technology, automation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Working closely with Finance, Legal, auditors and external advisers.
  • Analysing tax data and identifying opportunities to improve processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
