Our client, a leading tech company is growing and are now looking for an experienced Group Tax Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys a broad remit, takes ownership of their work and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international environment. You'll combine technical tax expertise with hands-on delivery, working closely with Finance, external advisors and stakeholders across the Group.
This is a hands-on, commercially minded Group Tax Manager role rather than a purely compliance-focused position.
The Role
As Group Tax Manager, you will own the Group's tax reporting and ensure that tax accounting, compliance and disclosures are accurate, timely and robust across our international operations.
You'll have particular responsibility for the UK and US, while also overseeing tax matters across the Group's other jurisdictions. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to get into the detail, manage external advisors effectively and continuously look for ways to improve our processes and controls.
What You'll Be Doing
Group Tax Reporting
- Own the preparation and delivery of the Group's tax reporting under IFRS, including current and deferred tax calculations and tax disclosures for the annual report.
- Lead and coordinate the year-end tax reporting process across the Group, including UK, US and other international entities.
- Ensure accurate tax balances are reflected in the Group consolidation and statutory accounts, working closely with the Financial Reporting team.
- Manage the Group's transfer pricing policies and documentation, working with external advisors where appropriate.
- Act as the key point of contact for external auditors on tax reporting and accounting matters.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
