Group Tax Manager

Location: London

As a Group Tax Manager in London, you'll oversee all aspects of tax compliance and planning for a not-for-profit organisation. This role is key to ensuring the organisation meets its tax obligations while identifying opportunities for efficiencies.

This not-for-profit organisation is based in London and operates within the public and social sectors.

Description

  • Manage the organisation's tax compliance, including VAT, corporate tax, and other relevant areas.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to maximise efficiencies.
  • Provide advice on tax implications for business decisions and projects.
  • Oversee tax reporting requirements and ensure timely submissions to relevant authorities.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data for tax purposes.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on tax-related matters.

Profile

A Successful Group Tax Manager Should Have

  • A strong background in tax compliance and planning, ideally within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Professional tax qualifications, such as CTA or equivalent (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation.
  • Experience in managing relationships with external advisors and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong communication skills to provide clear tax advice to non-specialists.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying tax-saving opportunities.
