Group Tax Manager
Manchester - Part Time 22.5hrs
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Group Tax Manager to provide direct tax expertise and governance support across Brand Addition and The Pebble Group.
This is a reduced-hours role, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, partnering with senior stakeholders and external advisers, and applying technical tax knowledge in a practical, business-focused way. You will primarily support our UK, European and Asian operations, helping to ensure robust tax compliance, reporting, transfer pricing and governance across the Group. The role will also provide support on significant international, transactional and cross-border matters where required.
Reporting to the Brand Addition European Financial Controller, with a dotted line to the TPG Group Financial Controller, this role will involve regular interaction with the CFO and wider Finance teams.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will take responsibility for coordinating and supporting a broad range of tax activities across the Group, including:

Direct tax and compliance
- Oversight of UK, European and Asian corporation tax compliance processes.
- Review of tax returns prepared by external advisers.
- Management of tax payments, claims and related filings.
- Support on tax audits and enquiries.
- Monitoring of permanent establishment and withholding tax exposures.

Tax reporting and audit support
- Support preparation of tax forecasts and budgets.
- Support half-year and year-end tax reporting processes.
- Support the TPG Group FC and external advisers in providing information required for tax reporting and disclosures.
- Support TPG Group FC during audit processes and adviser interactions.

Transfer pricing
- Coordinate and oversee external advisers in relation to transfer pricing benchmarking, documentation and technical support.
- Support implementation of transfer pricing policies across the business.
- Coordinate the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and supporting evidence, working with external advisers and Finance teams.
- Work with the Senior Tax Accountant - North America to ensure a consistent approach across jurisdictions.

Tax Governance
- Support maintenance of tax risk registers.
- Monitor legislative developments affecting the Group.
- Assist with governance requirements including SAO, Pillar 2 and CbCR as applicable.
- Support tax training and awareness across Finance teams.

Adviser Management
- Act as key contact for external tax advisers.
- Manage adviser workstreams and budgets.
- Review technical advice and recommend practical solutions.

Business Support
- Support significant business changes and transactions as required.
- Provide technical support on material cross-border matters.
- Work collaboratively with the Senior Tax Accountant, North America and Indirect Tax Manager on matters with wider Group implications.

Who we’re looking for:
We are looking for someone who can bring a strong technical tax background together with a pragmatic, collaborative and organised approach. You will be comfortable managing external advisers, working with senior stakeholders and balancing detail with commercial judgement.
Experience needed:
- ACA / ACCA / ATT / CTA qualified.
- Strong UK corporation tax experience.
- Experience of working with external advisers.
- Experience of tax reporting and provisions under IFRS.
- Transfer pricing awareness and willingness to oversee TP governance.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working independently
It would also be helpful if you have:
- Prior in-house experience.
- CTA qualified.
- International tax exposure, particularly European jurisdictions.
- Experience supporting cross-border projects.
- Awareness of indirect taxes and customs duties
